Calvary Baptist Church was started 43 years ago as a church plant of Brenham's First Baptist Church. Desiring to see a new church on the other side of town from First Baptist, a few brave members left and started Calvary.  Larry Embry served Calvary for 35 years. Dr. Dean Meade has served as Calvary's Lead Pastor for the past three and one half years.
